Have you ever been asked where you are really from? Or why your English is so good? These are micro-agressions – you know, those statements that make your cringe inside even though on the surface it may not sound offensive? The term, micro-aggressions, has been quite the hype the last few years, but what does it mean? We’re going to spend time in this workshop breaking it down so people walk away from this event with a clear understanding on what micro-aggressions are, hear from personal experience in how it manifests in our daily lives, and hear tactics and ways we can deal with micro-aggressions going forward.
* Free event, with lunch included
* Will offer tangible handouts & resources you can walk away with
* Skits & interactive small group discussions
* Focused on solutions
* Be with like-minded individuals & community!
UPDATE: We’ve already created a public facebook event that you can access here without being a member of our Facebook Group.
